Mr. Johnson is a principal with TJC Consulting Group LLC which offers custom-tailored services clients navigating the challenging realm of international business. He has represented clients including the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) U.S. Department of Transportation (DOT), U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), the Federal Highway Administration (FHA), and Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC).  They advise clients in multiple diverse economic sectors throughout the world, including raw and processed agricultural products, fisheries and aqua cultural processing, manufactured goods, ferrous and non-ferrous metals, textiles and apparel, transportation industries and energy services. 

Mr. Johnson is a former Senior Partner and member of the of Saul Ewing’s Business and Finance Department and previously served for nine years as a Staff Attorney and Branch Chief in the Division of Investment Management for the SEC. In addition to his legal practice, Mr. Johnson was appointed by President Obama to be the first African American Chairman of the Securities Investor Protection Corporation (SIPC). He is also an adjunct professor of law at Howard University School of Law and has served as Chairman of the Board of the Prince George’s County Economic Development Corporation; Chairman, Board of Regents for the University System of Maryland; Member, Board of Directors, University of Maryland Medical System Corporation; Member, Transportation Infrastructure Policy Committee, Obama for America – Presidential Campaign; and Member, Energy and Environmental Policy Committee, Obama for America – Presidential Campaign.
